Admittedly, I took this project for the silly little chickens.

In all of my college career the proudest work I did was for my screen printing class. I found everything related to the process as cathartic; The sweet smell of the ink in the warm air, the whip and snap of the squeegee on the screen, the hours spent washing and drying, printing and reprinting. For one of my final exhibitions for the class, I was assigned the Ohio National Poultry Show. I was blown away by the research and by the lengths that participants would go to ensure that their bird was tip-top. Seriously, I encourage a deep dive into the show and its history.

The process

This poster was printed using a 4-color process screen print in an edition of 10.

The ink was hand-mixed partial transparency.
